Pretty fun day for our little fella! It would have been more fun for his parents if he had stayed asleep...then he wouldn't have been super ornery after waking back up or up super late because he wasn't tired!!

Naomi Comforts Peter

This was during that charming hour before dinner when small children lose all common sense, need twenty times more attention, and cry or scream about everything.

Peter was lying on the floor crying.

Matt and I were hurrying to get dinner on the table so we could make it on time to clean the church building.

Naomi took the initiative to sit by Peter and help him calm down. It was a very sweet moment!

Gabe's Minecraft Birthday Party!

We had a Minecraft party for Gabe's 8th birthday. It was a bit last-minute, but a couple of friends were still able to come join him for the fun!

I had a few other activities ready, but the boys were so happy just playing around that we didn't worry about those! And then a friend who didn't come on Friday at 4:00 showed up on Saturday at 4:00, so we did a bunch of it all over again!!

Naomi's last volleyball practice on Friday was a black light volleyball game/party! She loved it!

Morning Science Discussion

This is the view when your kindergartener is super excited to tell you about different parts of an egg, but he dropped it on the floor before he's able to get the bowl and crack it into the bowl. So instead, I had him elaborate about the parts of the egg that was on our kitchen floor.

Peter Loves String Cheese!

Peter has been helping me with my grocery price book. Well...at least he's gotten used to me taking pictures of the price stickers so I can write the info down later.

Today his patience gave out with the string cheese, but he was appeased with a picture that included him!

The Eating of the Cupcake

Peter was sleeping yesterday when we celebrated Gabe's 8th birthday with cupcakes. He had helped me bake them earlier in the day, though, so he knew they were somewhere about. 

He enjoyed the frosting but discovered Andrew was eating ice cream (a reward he had earned). Once Peter spied the ice cream, he lost all interest in the cupcake!
